About the Course

Advanced Microdermabrasion from California Advanced Esthetics

Microdermabrasion, also known as Microderm, is one of the easiest and the most effective, non-invasive skin resurfacing processes available. It is used as an anti-aging treatment since it softens fine lines and wrinkles, helps to smooth coarsely textured skin, decreases the appearance of scarring, results in smaller pore size, and reduced superficial hyper-pigmentation also known as age spots. The goal of microdermabrasion treatment is to provide the best possible results with the least possible damage or risk to the skin.

Microdermabrasion helps for high-tech skin care products to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin and build collagen, which gives skin its youthful appearance. Imagine a very fine sand blaster and you’ll get a picture of how microdermabrasion works. It uses microparticles, or a diamond-tipped wand to slough off the top layer of the epidermis and stimulates new skin growth. The technique also helps to thicken collagen, which results in a younger looking skin. Including this procedure in your practice will result in significant additional revenue stream and expanding the client base.

In our MICRODERMABRASION Course, estheticians will learn the proper way to evaluate client’s skin and see what type of microdermabrasion treatments will work best and how to adjust the degree of treatment to both the client’s specific skin problems and the type of skin she/he has.
